He assisted a number of famous Condé Nast photographers, from Barry Lategan (also a Lensmodern member) to Oliviero Toscani. In 1985 he became a professional freelance photographer and, during a successful career, photographed for clients such as Vogue Italia, Uomo Vogue and Harper's Bazaar Italia. His work was also exhibited in Paris and Berlin and he received several prestigious awards. In 2001 a book of his work was published entitled 'Women', which featured a series of photographs of women, all of whom had never posed nude before. shot in 10x8 format over a period of several years in his studio.
