Clive Frost

Clive Frost was born in 1953 in Manila, Philippines. After indenture training as a journalist on a local Sussex newspaper, he completed, with Distinction, from 1974 to 1977, a Higher National Diploma in Creative Photography at The London College of Printing.

Since 1977, Clive has worked as a photographer for magazines in both the U.K. and internationally. Over the last 30 years, he has become best known for his portraiture, interiors/architecture and travel photography. His commercial portraits are often set within the context of a domestic or commercial environment.

For his gallery photography, he makes limited edition large scale single, diptych, triptych and multiple images, in colour and black and white, of landscapes, cityscapes, man-made and natural forms in their everyday surroundings.

Clive has had a number of exhibitions and awards including: ‘Dreamland’ - Impressions Gallery of Photography, 1983; The National Theatre, London, 1984; John Kobal Photographic Portrait Award, 1994 (Highly Commended), 1998 and 1999 (Runner-up); Association of Photographers Awards, 1989 (Merit), 1998 (Merit) and 1999.
